1. Introduction

RTD, also Resistance Temperature Detector,or resistive thermal devices, thermal resistance temperature measurement.

2. Principle
The principle is based on the resistance value of a conductor or semiconductor as the temperature changes and changes in the characteristics.

3. Types
Commonly used industrial heat resistance Pt100, Pt1000, Cu50, Cu100.
Platinum RTD temperature measurement range is typically 200-800 degrees Celsius below zero, the thermal resistance of copper minus 40-140 degrees Celsius.

4. Advantages:

2. RTD do not need connection wire, and cheaper than thermocouple.

3. Response Time: Response time is the sensors ability to react to temperature changes in the process. Direct immersion sensors generally are the fastest responding, but in many applications a thermowell is used so that the process does not have to be drained to change a sensor.
